Question 3 - Audience and Feedback - My first rough cut

Our first rough cut
 Audience feedback
This was our first ever rough cut of our product. On receiving audience feedback from our peers (who we would consider in our target demographic) we were happy to here they were impressed with our varied shot types and loud dialogue. Another feature they enjoyed was the clear narrative because it was easy to get what was happening and they thought the title cards helped this.

Viewers comment: "I really like your video, the only problem is that the music jumps suddenly which makes it look unprofessional" "I think florences voice is too powerful and it takes away from some of the dialougue" "I can tell what is happening in your trailer, and that is always a good thing!"

Improvements
A feature our audience thought could be improved was the vocals in our song. Unfortunately Florence (the singer) has a voice which stands out over some of the actors dialogue. An improvement which was suggested with this was using an instrumental version of the song instead so we still have the same tone to our video but without the singer. Because we were so partial to the narrative the song provided such as the opening line of "regrets collide like old friends" another audience suggestion was adding a title card with the lyric line on. This would start the trailer nicely and we hope to involve this in our remade trailer.
An improvement suggestion which we received in our feedback would be to match the time cards up to the beats of the music more, because some of them are slightly off. The titles cards matching the music is a common convention of soap trailers so this is something we hope to achieve in our edited video.
In the opening the music (0.13) it has been edited poorly and you can tell that it has cut out. It was difficult to find a place to cut out some of the verse but more time has to be spent to improve this so our trailer is more professional.

I think the audience feedback has helped a lot because it has gave us an outside view on what our demographic thinks about our trailer. We have gained some good constructive criticism which will help his to achieve a better trailer
